This piece of news came as a bit of a surprise, since the VR update for DOAX3 had been put on hold from its original PlayStation VR launch day release, and had never heard anything from it ever since. Apparently, some people have been putting a lot of work into this, since the latest trailer showing the game’s VR features demonstrates much more than what we were initially shown. On top of that, the update brings in PS4 Pro support, which probably explains why the update took so long to come up, in order to hit two birds with one stone.
The update will come in the form of a “VR Passport” that you can download for free until February 28 if you own the full game. If you have the free-to-play version, you’ll have to pay 1,500 yen to be able to download it. There is also a second option that allows you to bundle the VR passport along with Marie Rose and Honoka as playable characters for 2,500 yen.
This “passport” will grant you a mode called VR Paradise, which works together with Owner’s Paradise, letting you play Gravure Paradise, Event Paradise and Photo Paradise in VR. Of course, you can unlock gravures, events and poses for you to be able to see through the PSVR headset. You can go ahead and watch the trailer above, which contains as much awkward giggling and staring as you would imagine. In all honesty, I’m pretty excited.
