I remember playing Valkyrie Drive years ago and recall not liking it anywhere near as much as I do the Senran Kagura games. However, with this new PC version, there are certain improvements that really make me want to give it another shot at the fan service-heavy beat-em-up.
Marvelous announced that the game will come out on Steam on June 20, along with a 10% discount during it’s first week. However, if you own Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus on Steam, then you’ll get an additional 25% discount for the Combined Edition, which contains all downloadable content. If you don’t own Shinovi Versus, then you’ll get a 50% discount for it when purchasing Valkyrie Drive. It’s a bit confusing, but the main idea is that you’re going to get decent discounts no matter what you do.
Anyway, back to the main point: What’s so special about the PC version of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni? Well, it seems that the game has been fully remastered in 1080p with 60fps, and you can even bump it up to 4K. The game will also support Steam cloud saves, achievements and other Steam-related perks. All the DLC from the PS Vita release will also be available to buy on Steam as well, or you can just buy the Combined Edition that has everything.
Finally, there’s a new trailer introducing the characters and some 60fps gameplay, which definitely looks way better than the PS Vita version. There’s only a couple weeks left to find out if the game is better or not with all of these changes. And now I leave you with some screenshots:
