I had no idea this was happening, but I am very happy that this is the case. Zen Studios has announced a sequel to the popular Pinball FX series called Pinball FX3 for this year. The game will contain the typical tone that the previous games had, but now with the addition of multiplayer and competitive gameplay. How that works I have still yet to figure out, but I’m sure it’ll be fun to see in motion.

One really awesome thing in this sequel is that the majority of the DLC from Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX2 will carry over to this new game, so there’s no need to worry about having to abandon your pinball tables or buying the same ones again. The game will launch with only three tables, so I would recommend filling up the space with those older tables. You can go ahead and watch the short announcement trailer above.

I wonder if they’re doing anything in VR. Pinball FX2 VR was awesome and we haven’t seen any new tables come out in forever. I can only assume that they are placing all their efforts on FX3, and possibly make VR tables for that version instead. I’m just speculating, but I would really love some more VR tables.
