We talked before about Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars and how it ran a Kickstarter to fund this newer, upgraded version of Arcana Heart 3. Well, they did it.I’m very happy to see that, in less than a week, Examu was able to fully fund the game for a 2017 release on PC via Steam, with updates confirmed for 2018.
At the time of this writing, they have accumulated $132,705 out of the $100,00 they were asking for. Because of this, they are now opening stretch goals in the forms of new playable characters and Arcana to use in the new game. You can watch a short trailer on how these characters will work in the trailer below, in addition to the Kickstarter itself on the video above. The stretch goals are as follows:
- $170,000 – More game balancing and the Arcana Paracelsia will now be usable, who was initially just a boss character.
- $260,000 – New Playable Character: Shark Girl (No Lava Boy though…)
- $400,00 – New Playable Character and Arcana: Dark Heart and Love Prison Geist respectively.
- $500,000 – New Character (non-playable) – Omega + New Storyline. Similar to Paracelsia, she would only be a boss character you fight against, but she won’t be playable. Apparently, the new story will be called the “World Extinction Storyline.”
- $570,000 – Omega would now be a playable character if this goal is reached.
- There is one final stretch goal in this list. Neither the amount of money nor the stretch goal itself have been revealed yet.
Of course, none of these characters will make it if the funding isn’t there, so I highly recommend you give them their support. I personally love the Arcana Heart games, but if you’re not into them, you can always share the link with others that might be interested. I’ve never made it a secret that this is one of my favorite fighting game series ever, so I would love to see this succeed beyond just its base funding.
