The latest issue of Weekly Jump has revealed that Trunks, the sword-wielding, time traveling Saiyan from Dragon Ball Z is now a playable character in Dragon Ball FighterZ. The one piece of evidence that we have for this is a tiny picture within a collage of other screenshots and images from the game, showing Trunks in his Super Saiyan form. This makes sense, since all the other Saiyan characters that have been shown so far are also in their Super Saiyan form as a default, so seeing Trunks in this form is no surprise.

Since we only have a screenshot and no gameplay, it is difficult to say if this is Trunk from DBZ or the newest Super series. We also still don’t know if these transformation can change at will or have different version of the same character that carry different forms. In any case, this game was just recently announced for 2018, so I’m sure we’ll get a ton more info over time. For now, we can only get hyped for a picture in a magazine.
